Kennel v/h Hof van Bloemendaal was raised in 1986. And started as Chow-chow kennel but when we met the Akita, our hart was stolen and whe continued with the Akita. At that moment the kennel was runned by Willem and Marij van Loon. Many years we where showing our dog's and we breed many champion's. Chiky v/h Hof van Bloemendaal was our most famous female we bred, 12 official titel's made her multi champion. Another famous dog was Lo Tak Lei Fukai Multi champ World champion and European Champion. Many people dreamed to ever have a dog like him.

His son Xando-Go Hinode Kara gives me the liveslight back after my divorce! And in 2006 Willem van Loon restarted the breedingplan's of v/h Hof van Bloemendaal, together with Egitte van Veghel owner of the Shikoku kennel van de Egmato. She brought the American Akita into v/h Hof van Bloemendaal! Now we are happy to have both breeds in our kennel because we can see the differences between the breeds and we can learn from it. We imported some excellent dog's to build up the quality that v/h Hof van Bloemendaal always has given. Hope you enjoy our website and that it give's the information you are looking for.

In november 2009 Willem went to Japan for visit the Nippo show and bring some new Shikoku's into Egitte's kennel. But also he found an very good breeder of Akita's, and bring Sharaku into his kennel and have an option for a femele. Kennel v/h Hof van Bloemendaal has now many option's for good breeding program's.

By juni 2010 we stop with the American Akita, we will find good home's for some of our dog's. To concentrade breedingprogram's on three breeds is to hard, and we want to keep the quality we alway's had in the Japanese Akita and Shikoku-ken.
